Las Vegas
has had an annual Veterans Day Parade for the
past 34 years.
2004, the parade had 110 entries marching up Fourth
Street and was hosted by Veterans of Foreign Wars
Post 1753. That year's grand marshals were American
former prisoners of war.
By all accounts, one of the largest Veterans Day
parades in America. Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman
predicts this year’s parade will "go
down in the history books" as we welcome home
our Vietnam veterans and salute all Americans who
are serving their country today.
Besides the amazing Veterans Day parade, the famous
Fremont Street Experience always host to specialized
light shows will pay tribute to America’s
military and veterans.
Watch out for the Las Vegas Centennial Air Show
@ Nellis Air Force Base!! One of the largest & entertaining
air shows in the United States! Will include Vietnam-era
specific air and ground displays
More details on Veterans Day events as November
draws closer but as you can see, it’s a great
time to visit Las Vegas! Many amazing events all
over town to celebrate those who fought for our
freedom.
